Job Description

Barnson Pty Ltd is seeking a full time Senior Project Manager for our multidisciplinary consulting firm in our Mudgee office. Our company provides a friendly team environment, supportive management, and offers great diversity.

Your responsibilities will include:

Coordinate and manage projects within Barnson as well as for external clients and other companies.
Control of resources and the timelines and quality of project outcomes.
Anticipate and address possible deviations from project specifications.
Prepare proposals for engineering services and capital works projects.
Prepares technical specifications and tender documents and engineering procurement.
Prepare and submit applications to consent authority/certifiers.
Evaluate bids and contract administration.
Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations.
Project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, reporting.
Construction supervision, commissioning and acceptance.
Investigate and assess risks posed to people, equipment and environment during the project management phases.
Interpret varied and complex guidelines and apply them to specific situations.
To be successful in this role you will possess:

Graduation from an accredited university with a degree in Construction Management (Building) or equivalent.
A minimum 3 years experience in construction management.
Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Working knowledge of the policies, procedures and practices necessary to conduct the normal function of the Civil, Environmental and Geotechnical work area.
Ability to exercise sound judgement in relation to overall site management goals and objectives.
Ability to interact with work colleagues to share knowledge and to determine work priorities, plans and approaches.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to co-workers, supervisors, clients and the general public.
Ability to lead meetings and workshops, make presentations and conduct formal briefings.
Demonstrated skill in reading and interpreting design plans, mentoring, training and motivating others, organising and prioritising work for self and others and responding to frequently changing work responsibilities.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
Must be prepared to undertake field work and be away from home
Must be in possession of a current Australian Driver’s Licence
Annual salary for this position will be assessed based on the skills and knowledge of the successful applicant.
